Make the most of your calf feed!

The basic component for calves with high growth rates is a solid protein supply. This is valid not only during the feeding phase, but also in the weeks after. Protein utilization plays a decisive role in healthy growth and economic rearing. The innovative active ingredient Ceravital XP from Schaumann leads to improved digestibility of the protein in the calf feed and increases the daily gains in rearing.

In field trials at Gut Hülsenberg, the addition of Ceravital XP resulted in around 91 g higher daily gains with the same protein content in the ration in the weeks after weaning (see diagram). Ceravital XP combines an economical calf rearing system with the efficient use of valuable protein feeds such as rapeseed and soy extraction meal.

Ceravital XP is now included in all Schaumann calf rearing feeds.
